A cliché photo, yet I get to call this one mine...

This summer was my first time in San Francisco, I was there to attend Figma Config '25. Luckily, the first day was just for badge pickup, a change they made after what happened the year before at Figma Config '24. That gave me a free day to explore the city

The city reminded me of Istanbul, where I lived there for seven years — hilly and green, but quieter almost peaceful by comparison. Walking has always been my favorite way to get to know a city, and San Francisco didn't disappoint

After walking for a couple of hours, I finally reached the Golden Gate Bridge. I made a few attempts to capture some good shots with on different locations, the weather kept changing, and after 32 hours awake, the jet lag starting to hit

Although the first attempts were good, they weren't quite what I had in mind. I decided to plan another session, this time at sunset. I arrived early and started setting up for the shot. I had my ND filter with me and started experimenting with long exposures by the waves

Then I waited for the right moment to capture the sunset. It was getting cold, and I hadn't moved for a while. Still, the wait was completely worth it

I didn't regret carrying three lenses with me for the whole trip. It was full of photogenic scenary and a good weather. I just wished for a bit of fog around to get the full experience. Maybe next time
